Coldplay went returned to basics for latest album 'Mylo Xyloto' after receiving ''vitriolic criticism'' for their previous record 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends'.

Singer Chris Martin admitted the group felt "very low" the 2008 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends', which left them with "nothing to lose" when making their latest record.

He said: "We got to a very low place on the last record where we felt not very popular. But it was refreshing as it made us start from scratch. A clean slate.

"So many people had made up their minds about us already that we had nothing to lose."

The band frontman also includes guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion - are now "tighter" after receiving "vitriolic criticism" for 'Viva La Vida'.

Chris added: "I'll be honest. On the last album a few things happened that we'd never experienced before, like lawsuits and really vitriolic criticism.

"After all that hurt it makes you tighter and adds fire to everything. It was a closing of ranks".

Guitarist Joe Satriani had filed a copyright infringement against Coldplay in December 2008 after claiming 'Viva La Vida' took elements of his track 'If I Could Fly'.

Coldplay originally 'Mylo Xyloto' acoustic record, but the plan was scrapped when they planned their latest single 'Paradise' was written.

Will explained to The Sun newspaper: "We'd started an acoustic album but then we wrote 'Paradise' and knew the acoustic thing didn't have any legs."

Chris Martin is a singer of the'Paradise' band', who intimate show by the band's energy onstage, but admits that things can get a little sweat.

He told coldplay.orange.fr: "In the smaller places people can smell you more, which is a bad thing, because we get hot.

"A stadium is, in some ways, easier because no one is offended by the way you smell.

"But there are also advantages to smaller venues, there's a lot of firey energy and even slow songs sound very powerful and, of course, I love seeing my favourite artists in small places."

Drummer Will Champion admits that he's a small venue is a bit daunted, because they are related to the band rush.

He added: "In the small shows you can see every person's facial expressions, you can see if they are on their mobile phone, you can see everything, so it's a bit more nerve wracking."

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the singer said that while the band as they were concerned that they could not believe he was not worried about the "take anything for granted."

He said, You can't take anything for granted anymore. It doesn't matter if you used to be big or used to be famous, you've got to prove yourself all over again. We don't have any immediate touring plans. We've just got to wait and see if anyone is interested in listening to the album.

He continued, I don't really care anymore about being relevant. I'm just happy to be with that group of people. We're very fired up and we're very focussed and the people who want to enjoy our music, we love them and we welcome them. In terms of where we fit in? I don't care.

Coldplay's lead vocalist Chris Martin has revealed he is working on the latest album could be his last.

The 34-year-old English songwriter says the band has put everything in the forthcoming new album 'Mylo Xyloto' and is not left with anything to use in a new album.

The Mirror quoted him as saying, "I feel like this record is our last".

"I always feel like each record is our last but at the moment I'm in the stage where I really mean it".

He said, "I just can't imagine how we would do another one, because we've thrown everything [into this one]".

Asked Martin, in fact 'Mylo Xyloto' band will be the last album.

He replied, "I don't know. But I never know. I think it would be bad if I was like, 'Yeah, we've got 15 songs up our sleeves'".

"I don't have anything left. I feel proud of our band at the moment. We're just so grateful, and very driven.

He added, "How long that will last, I don't know. I don't know how long you can maintain that kind of focus...".

Coldplay will perform an intimate gig at Camden's Roundhouse

Coldplay will perform an intimate gig at Camden's Roundhouse on July 22, and they have been also include the iTunes Festival headline to perform in this year.

Bassist Guy Berryman said: ‘The iTunes Festival always has a brilliant cross-section of artists but this year might just be the best ever. We’re very proud to be part of such an impressive line-up.’

Now this year iTunes Festival will reveal 62 acts to perform gigs at the Roundhouse over the full month of July.

Chris Martin's wife, actress Gwyneth also a festival where his new cookery book form Note From My Kitchen must have been talking about has been appointed to.

Coldplay have claims about his new single 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall'

Coldplay have said to claim that his currently new single 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall' famous 90s dance track‘Ritmo De La Noche’ is a copy.

Song received generally positive reviews when it announced last Friday, June (3rd) was, despite, hearing those two tracks on YouTube and social networking sites compared between skin has been attracting.

Chris Martin claims that the band's website has confirmed that Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson writing credit on track to get released a statement about plagiarism wanted to finish.

Speaking on the band’s official site, Chris Martin said: "'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' contains elements of 'I Go To Rio' written by Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson."

In a separate statement, a spokesperson for the band described the inspiration behind the lively track. They said: "Chris was inspired to write the song after watching the film ‘Biutiful’ by Alejandro Gonzalez. In the film, there is a nightclub scene - during which a track is playing in the background, based on 'I Go To Rio' by Peter Allen and Adrienne Anderson. As a result, Allen and Anderson are also credited as writers on 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall'."
